Bathroom Rug
If you have ever considered putting carpet in your bathroom, then you need to really read this article. I have made that mistake
once and I will never again have carpet in a bath area. The smell after just 6 months was enough for me. Out went the carpet in went the new
bathroom tile. It was costly but at-least I learned a good lesson. I know you can get away with it but please read this article first before you
attempt it.
One of the only rooms in the your house that is not made for wall-to-wall carpet is the bathroom. Anyone who has tried this knows
that before to long the moisture from the showers and hat baths starts to create mold, mildew and a musty smell in your bathroom carpet. An
alternative is a small bath rug that you can place on top of the flooring and you can still enjoy the warmth of carpet without the bad side
effects.
Typically when a person moves into a new place they are stuck with whatever
flooring the previous owner or tenant chose. In the case of a bathroom it’s not uncommon for the floor to be in dire need of help. Many people
simply don’t take the time needed to keep the floor clean. This can lead to stains that are impossible to remove. With a bathroom rug
strategically placed, the stain becomes invisible and something of a distant memory. This is one of the big reasons so many people will have a
bath rug in front of their sink or shower stall.
You can buy them individually and in sets, depending on howbig the room is and how much of the floor you want to
cover. A bathroom rug set can consist of a large rectangular bathroom rug that is designed to be placed either in front of the sink or tub. Also
in the set you may find a smaller bathroom rug with a cut-out for the toilet. This warms the feet when someone is using the commode. In addition
to the rugs, many sets also contain a cover for the toilet seat. Some people love these while others, usually men, feel that they prevent the
seat from staying up. It’s really a matter of personal preference.
The colors available are wide ranging and you’ll probably want to choose one that matches the décor you’ve already got in your
bathroom. For instance if the walls of your bathroom are painted a light blue, a dark blue bathroom rug would look great. If the room is all
white, look at it as a blank canvas and choose accessories, towels and a bathroom rug that make a bold statement.
Before buying a bath rug and bringing it home take note of the care instructions. Some have to be sent to the dry cleaners which
can cost a pretty penny since they need to be cleaned on a regular basis. It’s better to get a bathroom rug that is machine washable. These tend
to last for years if taken care of properly. Don’t put them in the dryer though as it can damage the backing. Instead hang them to dry and you’ll
be amazed at how great they look once clean.
Well I hope I saved you time and money. You can put down rugs and have the same effect without the problems of smell and mildew.
And you can't beat he cost of these rugs. You can replace them every 6 months and have a new look in your bath area every time.
