Bathroom Rugs for a Quick Makeover

Does your bathroom lack something but you don’t have the money to do a full renovation? Well the first and simplest thing you can do is change the dressings. That’s the shower curtain, towels and of course the bathroom rugs. This will bring a whole new look to your bathroom and only cost you thirty to fifty dollars. Start with the rugs then move up.

In other words do the floor then the dressings. Go to your favorite store and pick your rugs first and make sure you are happy with the color and the quality of them. After that take them over to the towels and make sure you like the color combinations. Next you will want to match your shower curtain. If you do it in this order you will have a brand new bathroom look in about forty-five minuets. Most people do not have carpet installed in their bathroom because it is highly impractical and the water in the room can causes a lot of damage.

The floor in a bathroom can be slippery, and often can be very cold, so many people like to put bathroom rugs down. These rugs are small and are perfect to keep your feet warm and can keep you from slipping. They are also a great way to help you decorate in the color scheme you want for your bathroom. I recently purchased some bathroom rugs, and it was not as easy as I thought it would be.

I got a really great set for my wedding, but after five years, they were finally beginning to show signs of falling apart. My daughter often makes messes and soaks them when she is in the tub, so my bathroom rugs have spent a lot of time in the washer and in the dryer. These rugs were of very high quality, but it’s hard for even the best stuff to stand up this type of treatment.

When I decided I wanted to buy some new bathroom rugs, I decided perhaps it was time for a change all around. I liked the colors I had in my bathroom, but I thought something new might be in order, and may have been long overdue. This time I wanted to go with dark blue, and I had to find the shower curtains and bathroom rugs to match what I wanted to do. I had a hard time picking out the right shower curtain, and my choice of bathroom rugs was more than I had thought. There were so many different brands and types that I was lost for a moment before finally settling on something.

When choosing bathroom rugs, the first thing you want to look for is quality. Look over the back of the rugs carefully for a thick and sturdy backing. You also want something that is thick and soft, because it needs to feel good on your feet when you step out of the shower. Your bathroom rugs should also be something that you can live with, and they should also fit in the space you have. You might be surprised that a lot of people never consider this and come home with something entirely too small or way too large for their bathrooms.

Another good tip is to put the rug down on the floor in the store and walk on it. If you like the rugs color and pattern then you will want to feel it as well. Walk back and forth on it without your shoes or socks. I know it might be funny to do that in the store but who cares it’s your bathroom not theirs. Some bathroom rugs look nice but wont hold up to close inspection. So what are you waiting for go get those bathroom rugs and accessories.
